Update on incident at Testwood Lakes in Totton

Morning,

We just wanted to share a quick update with you regarding an incident we're currently responding to in Totton.

We were called shortly after 9pm last night (12 August) by a member of the public who was concerned for the welfare of a man in the water at Testwood Lakes.

Officers deployed to the area and conducted searches late into the evening, supported by our partners, including Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, South Central Ambulance Service, the Coastguard and the National Police Air Service.

At this time, no one has been located and we have not received any missing persons report that suggest this could be linked.

We will be in the area today with specialist police teams to conduct further searches to ensure all appropriate enquiries are completed.

While we are carrying out these searches, the area will be restricted to allow that work to be conducted safely, so we would advise those who routinely use this area, such a dog walkers, to avoid the area today.
